Dear Readers!
Today, as well as many centuries ago, people most often have two vision problems - nearsightedness and farsightedness. Nearsighted people do not see objects well at a great distance, while farsighted people can’t see well what is nearby. On March 4, they celebrate the International Day of the Bespectacled Man. The holiday has no official status, although it talks about such an important issue as prejudice against people wearing glasses.
The Day of the Bespectacled Man serves as a reminder of the importance of preventive measures to restore visual acuity.
