If you are in good mental health, you can cope with life and enjoy it. Youmake the most of your potential and play a full part in your family, workplace, and community. However, we all have times when we feel down or stressed or frightened. Those feelings usually pass. Nevertheless, sometimes they develop into a more serious problem and that could happen to any one of us.

Every year on 10 October people worldwide have an opportunity to raise awareness of the effects mental illness has on their lives, and advocate against social stigma. World Mental Health Day is a day for global mental health education and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.

Everyone is different. Someone can overcome difficulties in life very easily and stay optimistic, while someone else may feel weighed down by a setback for a long time.

Mental health problems range from the worries we all experience as part of everyday life to serious long-term conditions. The point is that the majority of people feel uncomfortable about their mental health problems and don’t talk about them much. Such people need help.They can get over their problems or learn to live with them. We should remember that mental health is just as important as good physical health, and that it’s healthy to know and say how we are feeling.
